| IDX Group, Inc.'s core philosophy is - business
first, technology second. We believe that
e-business is about transforming key business
processes with Internet technologies. It is
a profound commitment to digital transformation;
where an organization's business processes
are defined by the customer and enabled by
technology. |
| That means moving beyond the initial phase
of rushing to the Web. Organizations should
be looking into ways to take e-business to
the next level, both in how they access successful
implementation, and in what they hope to gain. |
 |
| We believe that the web presence
of any business, no matter what
their field, needs to reflect
an innovative and strong presence
to stand out on the Internet.
|
|
 |
|
| The click is just the beginning.
On the web, moving a customer to purchase
can be accomplished in a single click. From
this fact some marketers and advertisers have
concluded that this is how the Internet works.
If only it were that simple. With the exception
of an impulse buy, consideration usually precedes
purchase. At the very least that implies some
form of communication. |
| To improve the odds
that a sale is completed and to aid in customer
retention, communication typically follows
purchase. Seen in the context of a purchase
cycle (and assuming awareness) that means
there should be communications at the consideration,
purchase, and retention phases. What we
have seen over the past three years is the
value of approaching communications in the
digital space this way: as a cycle instead
of an exercise in stimulus/response. It
not only yields better results, it begins
to answer why. |
