which areas of the site each user has access
to, and what actions they can perform, including:

articles. |

| Content Delivery and
Management |
| Content entered into IDX e-CMS is normally
made available on the website immediately.
The user is able to control this by specifying
a publication date for that article. Only
after that date/time is passed will the content
appear. Similarly, each article may have an
expiration date. The user may decide that
when an article expires, it will be deleted,
or archived. |
| The IDX e-CMS interface provides a simple
way for controlling the order that content
is displayed within a section of a website.
Simply clicking ‘up’ and ‘down’
arrows next to each entry will move it up
and down the list. |
| Content can be hidden/shown at any time,
or archived, regardless of any archive date
set. Deleted content are sent to a Recycle
Bin where they can be retrieved, or permanently
deleted at a later date. |
| When editing content, the user can always
see who created the content, and when, as
well as who last modified it. |

| File/Image Uploads |
| Any IDX e-CMS content may have images or
files associated with it. Users simply browse
their machine for the required file, and upload
it. IDX e-CMS will automatically rescale images
if necessary, as well as generate thumbnail
images. Depending on the templates used to
display the article, associated files/images
are displayed, or links produced to allow
people to access the file. |

| Flexible Architecture |
| The modular architecture of the IDX e-CMS
system allows components to be integrated
seamlessly into existing websites. This allows
websites to take advantage of the templating
system, the XML-based content entry and validation
system, and the image uploading and manipulation
routines within their own environment. As
a result, highly dynamic, user-driven websites
can be delivered more quickly with proven
technology. |
