A shared server is also often referred to as a "virtual server". You share the Domino server with a number of other customers, and your users are certified in the IDXGroup Notes domain. You do not have any access to the Domino Directory, and you have no administrative rights in the server document. You can run restricted agents only - unrestricted agents are not allowed. Restricted agents are more of your day to day normal data processing agents. Unrestricted agents, however, have direct access to the Domino directory and the base OS.
