| The Challenge: |
| The Hellenic Literary
Society wanted to revamp its web Site (
Greeceinprint.com) to better meet the books
shopping needs of its primary target audiences
(parents, grandparents, and University departments),
including enhancement of the checkout process,
improved product creation flexibility, and
effective collection, storage, and utilization
of customer data. The Site also needed to
drastically alter its look-and-feel and
interface design to more appropriately communicate
the Society's image. |
 |
| The Approach: |
| To create an online presence for Greeceinprint.com
that aligns with the company's successful
catalog sales channels, IDX Group engineered
a new Site driven by a network of powerful
components that work together to increase
customer satisfaction, online sales, and informational
consistency across the board.
The new Site allows for easy user registration
and the collection of user preferences through
online forms and shopping patterns, facilitating
the delivery of personalized Site content
and product marketing to individual users.
In turn, the user database feeds a customized
email marketing tool and gives Greeceinprint.com
the opportunity to establish an ongoing
dialogue with its customers.
The Site-wide personalization features
are fully integrated into a checkout process
offering advanced functionality such as
multiple shipping addresses, catalog request
and purchase, "Address Book" synchronization,
and multiple options for gift-wrap. The
entire Site is supported by an extensive
content management backend that streamlines
the internal workflow for product creation
across four different operational groups
(buyers, planners, fulfillment agents, and
content managers). Versatile product creation
and merchandising controls allow Greeceinprint.com
to change everything from the choice and
order of featured toys displayed in the
animated Flash "product parades,"
to the display of product cross-sells associated
with a given item. |
 |
| The Results: |
| Consumers have total control when purchasing
books, from advanced search capabilities in
several languages to style, function and purpose.
|
| On line sales increased by more than 400%. |
